Ladybrand Primary School Prizegiving 2016

Friday the 4^th of November marked Ladybrand Primary annual intermediate, senior phase and Special School’s prize giving. With all the glitz and the glam, came high levels of excitement as the school announced the prefects for 2017:

Furthermore, the library will also come under new leadership. Our honorary bookworms for 2017 are: Renienke Van Heerden, Joyce Ramokone, Eunize Crous, Miah Haasbroek, Miriam Patel and Kabelo Lebusa.

We are excited to see how these young leaders will flourish in their respective leadership roles. Congratulations!

Our special guest speaker was OFM’s Success Lekabe. Undeniably down to earth and a sports all-rounder, Success shared anecdotes: sometimes leaving the audience in stitches, all the while teaching us valuable life lessons.

Ladybrand Primary School would also like to announce that Nika Reinach was awarded the General Excellence Cup. Susan Lamprecht received the Dux Shield for the Primary School and Rifiloe None the Dux Shield for the Special School. Well done girls, we are proud of you!

Ladybrand Primary School Golfday

Ladybrand Primary School hosted their annual, Grade 7 Golfday, on Saturday the 10^th of September. Eighty players came out to play and the overall winners of the day were Messrs. Tumane, Motsokobi, Maqelepo and Kosantsi, scoring 105 points.

Messrs. Tlali, Mothusi, Theko and Correia were placed second with 100 points, followed by Messrs. Kotze, Schutte, B. Olivier and A. Olivier coming in at third place with 90 points.

Congratulations to all the gentlemen on a superb round of golf!

One does not often realise or think of the amount of effort which gets put into events such as these and we’d like to thank every contributor: Ladybrand Golf club, the Grade 7 students, their parents, the players and all our sponsors.

Also, Ladybrand Primary School would like to extend a special word of thanks to the community of Ladybrand – without fail we know we can rely on everyone to help us in achieving success, and Saturday was no exception!
