  • Om te onderrig, tot die voordeel en die ontwikkeling van leerders as individuele;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Om respek en waardigheid te betoon aan die regte van alle persone sonder vooroordele.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • \u00a0Om lojaliteit en respek vir die professie te bevorder;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • Om betyds, entoesiasties, goed voorbereid vir alle lesse te wees en om sober van gedagtes en liggaam te wees;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • Om my eie kennis en vaardighede te verbeter om meer effektief te kan wees.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            • Om \u2018n goeie verhouding tussen leerkragte en leerders, asook tussen leerkragte as \u2018n groep, en leerkragte en ouers te bewerkstellig.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              • Om gereelde informasie na die ouers te stuur oor hul kinders se vordering.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                  \n
                • Om onprofessionele gedrag tussen leerkrag en leerder te elimineer, asook dronkenskap, gebruik van dwelms, aanranding, seksuele teistering ens. uit die weg te ruim;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                    \n
                  • Myself beskikbaar te stel om buite kurrikul\u00eare aktiwiteite aan te bied.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    AS \u2018N LEERDER,<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0verklaar ek die volgende, nl.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

                    • Te aanvaar dat die hoofrede waarom ek in die skool is, is om te leer en akademies te ontwikkel, sowel as sosiaal en kultuursgewys;<\/strong><\/li>\n
                    • Om skoolre\u00ebls te gehoorsaam;<\/strong><\/li>\n
                    • Om die geloofswaardigheid en outoriteit van leerkragte te respekteer.<\/strong><\/li>\n
                    • Om deel te neem aan die Leerder Verteenwoordigheids Komitee om aanspraak te kan maak om eie belange te beskerm;<\/strong><\/li>\n
                    • Om respek aan alle ander leerders te betoon en nie teen hulle te diskrimineer nie;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
                    • Om weg te bly van anti-sosiale optrede soos diefstal, vandalisme, aanranding en seksuele teistering, alkohol en dwelm gebruik en enige ander aktiwiteite wat die leerproses ontwrig.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      AS A TEACHER<\/span><\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>in line with the SACE Code of Professional Ethics, I promise to:<\/span><\/h3>\n

                      • Teach, to advance the education and the development of learners as individuals;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                          \n
                        • Respect the dignity and rights of all persons without prejudice;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                            \n
                          • Develop loyalty and respect for the profession;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                            • Be punctual, enthusiastic, well prepared for lessons, and of sober mind and body;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                    • Eliminate unprofessional behaviour such as teacher-pupil relationships, drunkenness, drug use, assault, sexual harassment and others;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                      • Make myself available to provide extra-mural activities.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                        AS A LEARNER,<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>I promise to:<\/span><\/h3>\n

                                        • Accept that the main reason for being in school is to learn and develop academically, \u00a0socially and culturally;<\/strong><\/li>\n
                                        • Adhere to school rules,<\/strong><\/li>\n
                                        • Respect the \u00a0legitimacy and authority and teachers;<\/strong><\/li>\n
                                        • Participate in Learner Representative Councils (LRCs) to safeguard my interests;<\/strong><\/li>\n
                                        • Show respect to other learners and not to discriminate;<\/strong><\/li>\n
